This study is being done to see if inosine, a research study medication, can help slow the progression of Parkinson's disease.
Can I participate in this study?
You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:
Conditions:Parkinson Disease, early stage, PD, inosine, PSG, Parkinson's study group
Age: Between 30 - 100 Years
Gender: Male or Female
Inclusion Criteria:
If you answer YES to all of these questions you may be eligible for this study:
    1. Do you have Parkinson's Disease.
    2. Were you older than 30 years old when diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease?
    3. Have you been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in the last 3 years?
        *A research team member will discuss all the criteria with you.
Exclusion Criteria:
If you answer YES to any of these questions, you may not be eligible to participate in this study:
    1. Do you have a history of kidney stones, gout, stroke, heart attack, kidney disease or other cardiovascular problems within the last year?
    2. Do you use anti-Parkinson's disease medications, co-enzyme Q, creatine, excessive vitamin E or vitamin C on a daily basis? (A standard daily multivitamin is permitted.)
    3. Do you have an unstable medical or psychiatric condition?
    4. Are you pregnant or lactating?

Detail Study Description
You will take inosine, a study medication, or a placebo (lookalike pill containing no medicine).
Neither you nor the research study staff will know if you are taking the study medication or placebo.
You will be asked to come to Cleveland Clinic 16 times over 25 months.
