Do you have Huntington’s Disease?

What is the purpose of this study?

The purpose of the study is to see if creatine monohydrate taken in high doses over a three year period can slow the effects of Huntington's Disease.

Can I participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

• Conditions:Huntington's Disease, creatine monohydrate
• Age: Between 18 - 100 Years
• Gender: Male or Female
• Inclusion Criteria:

  If you answer YES to all of these questions you may be eligible for this study:
  
      1. Are you at least 18 years old.
      2. Do you have Huntington's Disease?
      3. Does someone in your family have Huntington's Disease?
          *Your research team will review other criteria with you
• Exclusion Criteria:

  If you answer YES to any of these questions you may notbe eligible for this study:
  
      1. Do you have a sensitivity or intolerability to creatine monohydrate?
      2. Are you using supplemental creatine at a dose greater than 10 grams?

Detail Study Description

The study will assess how well creatine monohydrate taken in high doses will help slow the effects of Huntington's Disease.

You and the study staff will not know if you are taking active medication or a placebo (a lookalike pill that contains no medication)

Participants will be randomized to receive either creatine monohydrate or placebo for 36 months.
